8 Dialogues From Rang De Basanti That Will Make You Rethink Your Priorities
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:03 AM IST"Koi desh perfect nahi hota, usse perfect banana padhta hai," these words from "Rang De Basanti" still echo in our ears and remind us of the intolerant times that we are living in. We indeed are not living in the best of the times, we are flying through serious turbulence but when have we not? The film was made 10 years ago but holds relevance even today. The way things are unfolding isn't in the best of our interests. We have struggled for survival in the past and we are still struggling for survival and that's what formed the crux of Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra's "Rang De Basanti".
This film wasn't a quintessential patriotic film, but it deals with what the youth thinks of politics today and how our society has shaped itself to stay detached from the larger part of it. Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra draws a parallelism between the struggle for freedom and today's political scenario. As Sue keeps on documenting her grandfather's diary, the lives of each of them progress and it changes, for the best or worst.
Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, R Madhavan, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth and Sharman Joshi have delivered the best of performance with the utmost zeal, perfection and compassion. These are a few unforgettable dialogues from the film which refuse to leave our head.
