With the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra in full flow, the period was marked by some exceptional musical moments and melodrama that continues to send an excited chill down the spine of millions of people.
The era was also when the confidence, pomp, and grandeur seeped in Hindi films, rendering them as popular they had ever been. It was here when the industry laid the foundation to the grand, commercial industry we see today. Of course, this also resulted in a nose-dive when it comes to quality of cinema.
