M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story Hits 3 Sixes In A Row, Will Hit A Century Soon!

So the triumphant run that M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story embarked with on Friday has ended on an all-time high in the opening weekend. The magnanimous craze amongst the fans that made this sports biopic take a thunderous start, has now hit 3 sixes in a row with all three opening days registering collections over 20 crores.

Having opened to a fabulous 21.30 crores on Friday, the film didn’t slow down at all on Saturday and earned 20.60 crores. However, the biggest six only got hit on Sunday when the Neeraj Pandey directorial almost touched the 25 crore mark raking in 24.10 crore. With a total collection of 66 crores so far, the film is now the second highest opening weekend grosser this year after Sultan.

Despite the fact that its runtime exceeds over 3 hours, even the limited number of shows haven’t been able to restrict its scoring reach. In fact, the film is already getting repeat audiences who obviously happen to be real Dhoni fans. Going by the current box office trend, M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story will hit the 100 crore mark by the end of its first week itself. If that happens, it will only be the fifth Bollywood grosser of the year to enter the league which has only been occupied by Salman and Akshay Kumar.
