Aashiqui 3
It is confirmed Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra will star together in the third instalment of Aashiqui. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mahesh Bhatt, the film will have the actress play the role of a singer. Alia shot down all speculations around the film and her unwillingness to do it, saying that Aashiqui is special especially since it's the first time she will be working with her father.
The film is expected to release in 2019.
Brahmastra
Ayan Mukherji and Ranbir Kapoor reunite this time for a superhero film. And Alia Bhatt would be playing the female lead in this fanatasy adventure series. Amitabh Bachchan will be leading the cast of this trilogy which will release every 2 years beginning 2019.
The first part of the trilogy will release on 15th August, 2019.
Gully Boy
The film is scheduled for a 2018 release.
Raazi
Alia Bhatt after a moment of hesitation gave her final nod for Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film that will be based on Kashmir. The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
Starring Vicky Kaushal as the male lead, the film is produced by Dharma Productions and wrapped up shooting in October 2017.
The film will release on 11 May 2018.
Chaalbaaz Remake
After the success of Judwaa 2, David Dhawan is planning to remake Sridevi's superhit 1989 film, Chaalbaaz. Apparently, the maker has brought Alia on-board to reprise the double role.
Recently, Alia was quoted as said, “When I asked David sir to cast me in his next flick, Judwa 3, he told me ‘I have a better role for you in mind’. When I asked him again after a little while, he smiled and said, ‘You do not have to work in Judwa 3 with me, but you will be working in the remake of Chaalbaaz with me’.”
Apart from directing the flick, David will also be penning the script for the same.
