While many of us may raise brows when it comes to our Bollywood celebs raising voices for things that matter, the fact is they do it a lot more often than what we give them credit for. Be it raising the issue of drought in Maharashtra or contributing to charities for a better future of the needy and oppressed, they do participate and dedicate a fair share of their efforts to the cause they vouch to stand for.

People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is one of those organizations which fight for animal rights and take a fierce stand against animal cruelty. While they promote vegetarianism and boycott of products made from animals (fur, meat, leather), they also campaign against abuse of animals in circuses and forced breeding. Our Bollywood celebs have also participated in the campaigns and done photoshoots for promotion of this cause.
