Shahrukh, Aamir Or Salman Who Is The Bigger Bollywood Flop??
Updated : June 05, 2017 08:58 PM ISTOne title that took Bollywood by storm is ‘Khan’! When you hear it you might visualize many actors that carry it proudly with their name, but three names that have added everlasting splendor to it has been that of Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. The unique avatar of these actors makes them starkly different from one another yet they have been quite entangled in the chase to proving their worth as the ruling Khan of the industry. Many comparisons are made based on their characters, films, endorsements, successes and their overall influence over the industry.
It is given that they are a league within themselves and are chasing different values in their respective careers. All three started their careers around the same time and even crossed paths with each other in a film or two in nearly 25 years! Apart from many parameters that have been put to test to determine who is the bigger Khan, here we have a count on the number of flops delivered by each Khan to see who emerges the ultimate winner in the race to sustain.
Shah Rukh Khan – We have seen and loved him as the die hard romance King. You will be able to spot a fan of the actor at inch of land you cover. The amount of charm he carries is enough to swoon a million ladies in their spot, Shahrukh has given Bollywood some of the greatest romances of all times like Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayeinge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He is known as King Khan in the industry and has experimented through various films to arrive at the success formula that worked in his favor.
The actor has given delivered his fare share of flops in over two decades. To his credit are 22 box office failures out of nearly 87 films that he has acted in. Some films have been so bad that they would make you not want to look back at his careers disasters like Chamatkar, Oh Darling Ye Hain India, Chahaat, Zamana Dewana, English Babu Desi Mem, Guddu, One 2 ka 4, Ye Lamhe Hain Judaai Ke,and Paheli.
Salman Khan – The Bhai Jaan of Bollywood, Salman has had quite an interesting career graph with a mix of many disasters and all time blockbusters. The actor has seen it all. He has been a part of nearly 100 films in Bollywood, with a religious fan base that makes it a point to back each of his success.
However, the number of flops on the list of films he has done is quite frequent and otherwise unsettling for the Bhai fans. He has delivered a swooping 34 flops, some of which may shake your undying faith in the actor like, Jaagruti, Chandra Mukhi, Ek Ladka Ek Ladki, Chand Ka Tukda, Veergati, Marigold , Yeh Majhdhaar, Baabul, Yuvraj, Main Aur Mrs. Khanna, Jaan-E- Man, and London Dreams.
Aamir Khan – The actor has created a separate niche with his films recently and has been doing only a single film each year. The fan base of the actor can swear by his dedication and performances. In comparison he has done only done nearly 40 films since he came to the industry but his careful choices have not left him out of the flop game.
The seemingly more intellectual of the lot, Aamir has given some carefully crafted flops like, Love Love Love, Raakh, Jawani Zindabad, Awal Number, Daulat Ki Jung, Atank Hi Atank, Baazi, and Mangal Pandey. The count of his flops is 16 of all films he has done.
These actors have come a long way into a more secure part of their careers with a reasonable backing of films. But although the number films and flops seems to be low on Aamir’s name, the analysis of his flops bring him out as the least bankable actor with forty flops. Shahrukh how ever appears to be the most bankable Khan with the lowest flops on an average.
No hard feeling there, as they are masters of their art unaffected by these statistics, but their flops do say a lot!
