Malayalam Veteran Vijayan Peringode Is No More
Updated : May 24, 2018 11:59 AM IST Malayalam veteran actor Vijayan Peringode, who has given many hit movies to the industry like the Mohanlal-starrer Oppam, Mammootty film Pattalam, Dileep’s Meesa Madhavan and more, took his last breath on May 23, Wednesday. The actor died in the early morning in Palakkad. He was 67 and died following a cardiac arrest.
The last rites held at Punyatheeram in Palakkad yesterday only. As per the reports, it was known from the family members that he wasn’t suffering from any major illness and was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning due to chest pain. He was declared brought dead there only.
The actor is survived by his wife Chanjalakshi and three children named Kannan, Anandapadmanabhan and Dr Gayathri. Vijayan has been a part of cinema for over three decades and started off his career as a production executive. He debuted as an actor in P N Menon film Asthram. He was seen in about 40 movies and many ads, in supporting role. Moreover, the actor has also worked in the Tamil industry.
