‘This Will Be A First For Kannada Cinema’: Pawan Wadeyar About ‘Jessie’
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:03 AM IST Pawan Wadeyar says that his upcoming directorial ‘Jessie’ is unique for Kannada cinema as the film sports right mixture of sound and visuals. A film with 40:60 proportion of visual and sound respectively is deemed right in his opinion. The music of ‘Jessie’, which stars Dhananjay and Parul Yadav in lead roles, has been given by Anoop Seelin.
Pawan Wadeyar said in a statement, “Every frame in a movie has multiple sound tracks, every object has a sound, and for Jessie, I wanted to be able to capture all, for which we decided to use Dolby Atmos technology. This will be a first for Kannada cinema. Most theatres in Karnataka are still in the process of upgrading, with a majority still only at Dolby 5.1. The beauty of Atmos, which can support 120 tracks at a time, is that it can work to a large extent even on a 5.1 system”.
Gita Gurappa is on board as sound engineer for the project. She has been quoted as saying, “Anoop's background score is beautiful and will be the backbone of the film”. Gita has worked with Anoop in a Tamil movie previously.
