RangiTaranga Becomes Biggest Overseas Release Ever

With films setting box office on fire, 2015 is turning out to be a great year for Sandalwood industry. Kannada film RangiTaranga, which stars mostly the newcomers, has become the first Kannada film ever to go houseful overseas, basically in USA, Germany, Holland and Belgium. The film has broken all the records of Indian releases in the US.

The flick has minted over Rs. 1 crores in just 3 days. Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, “RangiTaranga takes an EXCELLENT start in USA. Collects $ 200,802 [₹ 1.31 cr] in its opening weekend”. The makers of the flick said in a statement, “The first day box office collection of RangiTaranga in USA was bigger than the overall USA collection of any Kannada film so far. The movie will also be releasing in places where Kannada films have never been released before”. 

The Anup Bhandari directorial stars Nirup Bhandari in the lead role. The film is Anoop’s debut in the Kannada film industry. The director, who lived abroad, came to India for his passion in filmmaking and gave Sandalwood a masterpiece.
