Manoj Manu To Mark His Debut In Sandalwood With An Action Flick
Updated : August 09, 2018 11:39 AM IST Manoj Manu has been trying to enter into this Tinseltown for a while. In fact, a few years ago, he was to be launched by an associate of director Yogaraj Bhat, but that project failed to take off. He is the nephew of Challenging Star Darshan, who has an uncanny similarity with his famous uncle.
Manoj has been getting a hang of being in front of the camera, with roles in Darshan’s films Ambareesha and Chakravarthy. But the newbie seems ready to go solo with an action flick titled Takkar. The film is to be directed by Raghu Shastry, who had earlier made Run Anthony with Vinay Rajkumar.
“Takkar, I believe, is the right launch pad for me and positions me as an action hero. I had met Raghu during the making of Dinakar Thoogudeepa’s next directorial, for which he had written the dialogues. He had narrated a subject, which both Darshan and Dinakar also liked. It is a thriller that explores cybercrime from the perspective of the fact that women are the ones exploited and how they should be careful while dealing with technology involving visual media,” explains Manoj. He has just finished a 20-day schedule in Mysuru, which were mostly his portions. Moreover, shooting for the first schedule of the film, Takkar, has been completed in Mysuru and the team is currently in Bengaluru to can an elaborate action sequence.
