Kurukshetra High Budget Movie In The Making
Updated : May 23, 2017 01:31 PM ISTEver since the success of the Baahubali franchise, the south Indian film industry seems to have adapted itself to the mythological genre. News regarding two such big-budget mythological movies in the making have been making rounds. One movie is Mohanlal starrer ‘The Mahabharata’ and the second one is Sundar C’s Sangamithra.
Now, there is news about a third expensive movie titled ‘Kurukshetra’, is in talks in the Kannada film industry which will be based on the Mahabharata. The movie will revolve around Duryodhana. The makers are in the process of selecting the cast and crew for the project. The makers have finalised Darshan for the role of Duryodhana and are currently in talks with Rana Daggubati for the role of Bheema.
The movie will be helmed by Naganna and bankrolled by film producer and MLA Munirathna. The script has been penned by JK Bharavi as well as derived from Gadayuddha which was written by poet Ranna. The movie will go on the floors from 23rd July onwards in Bengaluru and slated to release during January 2018.
