G.K. Venkatesh’s grandson Prithvi to Debut in Sandalwood
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:00 AM IST Preetham Gubbi of Mungaru Male fame has chosen to cast G.K. Venkatesh’s grandson Prithvi for his next Kannada project. The son of the legendary musician has been undergoing training in theatre and has also hit the gym, in order to prepare for his debut film. Malavika Mohanan, who is the daughter of Bollywood cinematographer KU Mohanan, is also debuting in Kannada film industry with this yet-to-be film.
Preetham, the grandson of the legendary Kannada theatre artist Gubbi Veeranna, says that it is a pleasure to launch Prithvi. “GK Venkatesh was an icon in the music world. The legend composed music for about 50 of Rajkumar films and is renowned as the guru of Ilayaraja. It is an honour to launch somebody from his family”, said the director.
About the film, he said, “The script was created keeping Prithvi in mind who plays a biker. There will be three motocross race sequences in the film”. The film will go on floors on September 10.
