Ryan Gosling in talks to star in Haunted Mansion
Updated : April 06, 2016 10:59 AM IST Ryan Gosling is close to bagging a role in Haunted Mansion, reports TheWrap. Guillermo del Toro will be directing and producing the film. The movie has been under development at Disney, since the film was first announced in July 2010.
Ryan Gosling, after making his directional debut with Lost River, will be seen acting on the big screen again. The Oscar nominated actor, who began his career as a child star on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club, will be making a return with this latest project of The Walt Disney Studio. The team of Gosling and del Toro is a match made in heaven, as both are huge fans of all things Disney. Both of them like to spend time at Disneyland, enjoying rides including the Haunted Mansion.
The script of the movie is being written by D.V. DeVincentis. The writer, best known for his work adapting High Fidelity, will be working on the project, which has been described as a ‘supernatural family adventure’. Ryan Gosling, who is currently busy with the filming of Adam McKay’s ‘The Big Short’ with Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Steve Carell, will also be seen in Shane Black’s ‘The Nice Guys’.
