Phil Lord, Chris Miller Eyeing Woody Harrelson For Han Solo Movie
Updated : January 04, 2017 04:21 PM IST After the confirmation of Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover for the Han Solo flick, Variety has now brought word that the film’s team is looking at Woody Harrelson for a specific role. He is being eyed to play a mentor figure to Alden’s Han Solo. Community actor Donald had been previously roped in to play young Lando Calrissian.
Harrelson has previously played a mentor in all four films in the Hunger Games franchise. Maybe that is why directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller want to rope him in for their film. Emilia Clarke will also be present in an undisclosed role. Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan will be writing the screenplay Lawrence and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.
This year, the Now You See Me actor will be seen in ‘War For the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘Wilson’. The former has been directed by Matt Reeves and will hit the screens on July 14 while the latter will be released on March 24. On the other hand, the Han Solo flick will appear on the big screen on May 25, 2018.
