Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen not returning to X-Men

Fans of the "X-Men" movies will not see both Professor X and Ian McKellen for the next "X-Men" film. The actor playing Professor X, Patrick Stewart said so himself. McAvoy and Fassbender will be back, once again directed by Bryan Singer.

In a recent interview, Stewart told the host: “I was learning quite a lot more about it last night. It is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don’t think we’ll be making an appearance.” It was also recently reported that the new film is looking to cast younger versions of Jean Grey (Phoenix), Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Ororo Monroe (Storm).
