Michael Harney To Be A Part Of ‘Widows’

'Orange is the New Black’ fame actor Michael Harney has been roped in for the upcoming flick ‘Widows’. The film which is touted to be a crime thriller is directed by Steve McQueen. Apart from the 61-year-old, the movie will also feature actors Liam Neeson, Robert Duvall, Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, and Colin Farrel.

The story of the movie is based on the 1980s British TV series of the same name. It starts with a group of armed robbers who are killed during a heist attempt. The film then follows their surviving widows who come together to finish the job that their partners started.  

Harney will be seen essaying the role of a corrupt police who is involved in a conspiracy. Besides, the above actors, ‘The Leftovers’ actress Carrie Coon has also been signed in for the film. She will be seen playing the role of a widow who refuses to join other widows in completing their husbands’ incomplete work. The screenplay of the film has been penned by McQueen and Gillian Flynn.
