Michael B. Jordan To Play Tom Clancy’s John Clark
Updated : September 21, 2018 05:33 PM IST Tom Clark the hero of Late American Novelists Tom Clancy’s novels is to be played by Black Panther famed, Michael B. Jordan. Variety reported Paramount is planning up two movies based on Clancy’s novels and John Clark is the lead character of both. 'Rainbow Six' and 'Without Remorse' will be developed cinematically, the latter will be the background origin story for the character.
The film is based on ex-navy-seal-turned-CIA officer John Clark. It is a secondary character who helps CIA analysis Jack Ryan with his missions. After Jack Ryan, Clark is the second character of Clancy to get a face. Jordan is heard to be producing this project as well along with Akiva Goldsman, Josh Appelbaum, and Andre Nemec. This project woke up with ideas after the success of Jack Ryan, which is running successfully on Amazon Prime.
Clark's character has been played previously by Willem Dafoe in Paramount's 'Clear and Present Danger' adaptation, starring Harrison Ford as Ryan, and by Liev Schreiber in 'The Sum of All Fears', in which Ben Affleck starred as Ryan. Jordan is well is so busy, and has projects lined up claiming to be undoubtedly the Hollywood’s biggest star currently. The line up for Jordan is Just Mercy and the creed series. Clancy’s novels will be Jordan’s second film series after Creed 2.
