Mary Healy died at 96

Mary Healy, a talented and celebrated entertainer whose career in film, television, stage and radio smashed five decades, died at 96 of natural causes in Los Angeles. Her daughter, Cathy Lind Hayes, confirmed the death.

Her career took off following her marriage to actor/comedian Peter Lind Hayes in 1940, and she joined his cabaret act and worked almost exclusively with him until his death in 1998. She paired up for variety TV series The Peter Lind Hayes Show and Star in the Family, and 1960s sitcom Peter Loves Mary. She also adopted two children, including actress Cathy Lind Hayes, who has enjoyed roles in Days of Our Lives and Grey's Anatomy.
