Updated : September 18, 2018 05:34 PM IST Marvel fans has some great news to look forward to in December 2018 . Erik Killmonger the antagonist of Black Panther will have its own 5 part mini-series comics. Marvel entertainment took over twitter to announce this big project, to grow the Black Panther franchise after ‘Shuri’ series.
This comic will have the background story of Killmonger’s life, which has been dead in Black Panther comic book series since last 10 years. Written by Bryan Edward Hill and Juan Ferreyra, Hill told "I didn't want to just recap what we had heard in his mythology. I wanted to explore the choices and the failures that lead a person to dedicate their life to revenge, and how that happens. Because with Erik, I feel like it's really a tragedy. It's a story of a guy who was failed a lot by Wakanda in certain ways, by the people he met outside of Wakanda, by his own conscience in other ways, and I wanted to paint a portrait of that."
The comic version of Killmonger is although different from the one cinematically played by Michael B. Jordan in Black Panther. Ferreyra's cover of the first issue in the comic book series is to be inspired by the character in the movie. Marvel fans can now hardly wait for this new member in the comic book series.
