Gillian Anderson Spokes Against All Male Writers In 'The X-Files'

American-British actress Gillian Anderson will next be seen in the upcoming season 11 of 'The X-Files’. She will portray the role of an FBI agent Dana Scully along with David Duchovny who will essay the role of agent Fox Mulder. The makers had announced that the new season will retain all the original writers of the sci-fi show, which happen to be male.

The show will be written by Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan and James Wong. Apart from these writers, the makers have roped three more male writers, Brad Follmer, Gabe Rotter and Benjamin Van Allen. However, this decision of the makers has not gone down well with Gillian who has expressed her disapproval of hiring all male writers.

The 48-year-old took to Twitter and blasted out on the lack of females in the creative team. She tqweeted, "And 2 out of 207 eps directed by women. I too look forward to the day when the numbers are different. #TheFutureIsFemale. (sic)" The show will have 10 episodes and will likely go air by the end of this year or beginning of next year.
