Al Ruscio passes away
Updated : May 01, 2014 03:10 AM ISTAmerica’s noted actor Al Ruscio, renowned for films like The Silence of the Hams, Romero, Deadly Force etc. died. The actor died at the age of 89 on Tuesday in his home, as told by his long-time manager Judy Fox. It was also learnt that Ruscio was in the arms of his daughter at the time of his last breath. Fox remarked on this loss, “a treasure…remarkable human being, passionate family man, loyal friend, patriotic American, World War II vet and brilliant actor. He will be sorely missed … but never forgotten.”
The actor was very fond of acting so he spent his acting career playing character roles. After graduation, he spent two years in The Neighborhood Playhouse School for the Theater to continue his passion. Al Ruscio got his first project in Television Playhouse 90 in year 1958 and then headed for films the very next year in 1959. His debut venture was Al Capone, where he essayed the role of Tony Genaro. He worked in many flicks like Future Kick, The Music Box Kid, Dickwad, The Gift: Life Unwrapped any many more. He also remained in touch with Television and performed in shows like The Norm Show, Seinfeld, Mad About You, The Norm Show and more. His last flick was in 2008 titled Winged Creatures where he portrayed Angelo. We wish that his soul rests in peace!
