With 4 Verbal Cuts, Ok Jaanu Gets UA Certificate
Updated : January 04, 2017 04:18 PM IST ‘Ok Jaanu’, which is the Hindi remake of the 2015 Tamil film ‘Ok Kanmani’ has been granted a UA certificate. According to a leading daily, the movie received only four verbal cuts and nothing else. On the other hand, the original Tamil film had quite a few problems regarding the way it showed a live-in relationship.
A source told the leading daily, “Only four verbal cuts were ordered. And these were minor alterations in the dialogue. Surprisingly, the censor board had no objection to the theme of live-in relationship”. Censor Chief Pahlaj Nihalani also spoke about the certification and said that the times have changed and now, before marriage, people get the opportunity to stay together and find out whether they are compatible or not.
‘Ok Jaanu’ has been directed by Shaad Ali and stars Shraddha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson. Shraddha and Aditya have previously worked together in ‘Aashiqui 2’ which was well received by the audiences. It will be interesting to see their on-screen chemistry once again.
