This Is Just Not True: Amrita Singh On Daughter Sara’s Debut With Ranveer's ‘Gully Boy’

It’s uncertain to say which director will get to launch Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan in Bollywood but the young lass has already started making headlines even before beginning her acting career. The damsel was earlier said to make her debut in Hindi cinema with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2' but the rumours were later quashed by mother Amrita, who stated that her daughter was never offered the movie. Later, B-town was abuzz with reports that Sara will make her debut in Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Gully Boy’ but mom Amrita has again junked the rumours.

“This is just not true”, Amrita stated while confirming that her darling daughter is not debuting in the Zoya Akhtar directorial. A source close to the anticipated project was quoted as saying, “There is nothing final about Zoya’s next. To speculate that Sara is a part of the film is very mischievous at this juncture. Sara’s dad Saif is very close to Zoya’s brother Farhan. If Sara wants to be in a film produced by Excel Entertainment (Farhan’s company) all Saif or Amrita have to do is ask”.

Let’s wait to see which movie marks Sara’s debut in Bollywood. On a related note, Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of a rapper hailing from the Mumbai slums in ‘Gully Boy’. Zoya and Ranveer have earlier collaborated for ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
