Shahid Kapoor Will Not Judge TV Shows Again!

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who has made his grand Television debut as a judge on the dance reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja Reloaded’ last year, reportedly has no inclination to reprise the role. The main reason behind this is Shahid’s wife Mira Rajput’s impending delivery that happens in September. The Udta Punjab actor was one of the judges last year apart from Malaika Arora Khan, Karan Johar, Ganesh Hegde and Lauren Gottlieb. Jacqueline Fernandez has replaced him on ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ Season 9.

Talking about it to a popular daily, Shahid stated, “I felt I was a misfit as a judge on the show. I loved hosting the show for those few episodes I did. But when you have such talented dance gurus sitting, it becomes very awkward for me to judge anyone. I don’t think I am that big yet". The Kaminey actor further added, “I cannot say bad things to anyone and it was very difficult for me to criticise anyone’s performance”. Does that mean he has bid goodbye to TV for good? “No, I would be happy to do shows where I get to host them. Judging is not on my mind right now”, said Shahid.

On the work front, Shahid will be seen in ‘Rangoon’, a period romance drama film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The flick also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles. Desimartini wishes him all the best for his forthcoming ventures.
