Sachin Tendulkar hits a sixer at box office, his biographical drama earns Rs 8.4 crore on day one

After conquering cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is all set to rule the box-office with his biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Saturday morning, “Considering it’s a docu-drama, #SachinABillionDreams opens IMPRESSIVELY... Fri Rs 8.40 cr. India biz [Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, English]”

The film did well in Mumbai circuits, especially Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata.
Tendulkar’s biopic has released in 2,400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas.
Meanwhile, Johnny Depp-starrer ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazars Revenge’ also opened to a decent occupancy of around 20-25%.
