What Led To Pratyusha Banerjee's Death?

As the news about 24-year old actress Pratyusha Banerjee's suicide came, most of us turned a blind eye towards it speculating a bad April Fools Day attempt, but in a rather heartbreaking development the news was found to be true. The actress who shot to fame with her role in the popular TV show 'Balika Vadhu' committed suicide at her home in Mumbai. She hung herself and was pronounced dead at the Kokilaben Hospital. 

The investigation in the suicide case is going on, but the needle of suspicion has been turned towards her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. If reports are to be believed, Pratyusha had problems in her love life with her boyfriend. The last whatsapp status updated by the actress read, "Mar kar bhi muhn na tujhse modna". 

While her friends from the film fraternity are suspecting foul play, her parents left Jamshedpur as soon as they got the news. But the information that they had seemed little. 

Actor and Pratyusha's close aide, Dolly Bindra said, "I used to meet her very often. I had met her even prior to the Big Boss show. She was strong and cannot commit suicide.'' She further added, "I don't think it's a suicide. I think it's a planned murder.''

Pratyusha's sister Rishita too was shocked and didn't believe that her sister could commit suicide. She said, ''I was in the tuition classes. When I came back, I saw everyone was crying at home. I cannot believe that my sister can commit suicide. She cannot do this.''

Actor-producer Rahul Raj, who went missing for a while, is now being interrogated by the police at an undisclosed location. Rahul was the one who informed everyone about the mishap. In his statement, he has said, "We used to stay in a 2 bedroom flat. We had two keys of which one key was with Pratyusha and another with me. When I entered the bedroom I found Pratyusha hanging to the ceiling.I got very scared. Immediately, I called the neighbours and with their help, I took her to Kokilaben hospital. We assumed that she was alive…but she was not. I got so scared that I did not inform the police. It was the hospital authorities who informed them. After the doctors declaration, I called up Pratyusha’s family members and few of our closed friends.''

According to the reports, the couple was going to tie the knot this year and were last seen in the television show 'Power Couple'. The police is investigating the matter and the circumstances that led to her death.
