Remo D’Souza: Wanted To Make ‘A Flying Jatt’ In 3D
Updated : August 05, 2016 04:39 PM IST Remo D’Souza’s upcoming directorial venture ‘A flying Jatt’ has created quite a buzz since the release of its trailer. Remo says that he initially planned to make his upcoming superhero movie ‘A Flying Jatt’ in 3D, but he eventually dropped the idea, since he was trying his hands in action for the first time and decided to leave the idea of using 3D. Remo had earlier helmed the projects like ‘Faltu’ and dance-based franchise ‘ABCD’.
Talking about the film, the choreographer-turned-filmmaker said that, “It is a different kind of a superhero movie. I have reversed everything which happens in a superhero film. It has comedy, problems faced by superhero, how costume is made. It is a human kind of a story. I wasn’t inspired by the West and has instead added a ‘desi’ twist to the film. From day one I knew I had to make a superhero movie and I wanted an Indian superhero. I didn’t want to copy a Hollywood character. If I have made a dance film of that level then I can make a superhero film too of that level. They (Hollywood) have big films, with big budgets. But we had the required budget for this film. So we have made it in a perfect way”.
‘A Flying Jatt’ stars Tiger Shroff in the lead role, where he is playing a superhero, who wears turban and features Jacqueline Fernandez as his love interest. Remo tried to portray the strength and importance of the turban through Tiger’s character. The flick is produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and also marks the Bollywood debut of professional wrestler Nathan Jones who is playing a grey shade role. The film will hit the theatres on August 25.
