Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have never fallen short of it, approves director Ayan Mukherjee, who recently paired up the duo for his upcoming film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
As told by Ayan, "Their dating earlier was not a big deal, they were a couple, there were a lot of controversies later like the'Koffee with Karan'episode and etc. But today there is nothing like that... they are now good friends and co-stars.” He assured, "They are very comfortable with each other. It makes me feel good about their attitude towards work.” Ayan has also talked about the high expectations from his film, "A lot has been said about Deepika's line in the promo. There is excitement among the audience and I am happy about it. It was part of the story when I wrote that line. It comes as the part of the scene, it is very natural. There are many points in the film where people will feel they would have been good together.”
Ayan’s second film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, post highly-successful Wake up Sid, also stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin and has been produced by Karan Johar, waiting to be released on May 31. Ayan added, "I think I have been able to express myself much more, there is openness with'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. And in some ways the film is about different facets of life -- friendship, love, etc. I was obsessed to make this film. I am happy I have made it now.” The audience has already responded to the film’s music and trailer with huge enthusiasm for its energetic fun-factor and the superb onscreen chemistry between ex-lovers but still best friends Ranbir and Deepika. No doubt the promo has createda liking among the viewers furthermore by the last punch line from Deepika to Ranbir, 'Mujhe Tumse Pyar Ho Jayega... Phir Se'.
