Radhika Apte On Jury Duty In Egypt
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:02 AM ISTA few days back, it was reported that Radhika Apte had replaced film-maker Farah Khan as a jury member at the 37th edition of the Cairo International Film Festival, which started on November 10, in Egypt.
The organisers felt that Radhika, being an awardwinning stage and film actor, would be a good choice for the event’s judging panel. We have now learnt Radhika had an inspiring experience at the festival, while watching a variety of films there. A source close to her reveals, “This was the first time that Radhika was invited as a jury member for a festival. She met several wellknown personalities there, and learnt a lot about the craft that she is so passionate about.”

Talking about her time there, Radhika says that the experience was great. “Considering it was my first time at this festival, it was a special trip. Watching several kinds of cinema from across the world is enriching. At the same time, it is a tough job to judge these movies. As an actor, too, it has been a great learning experience. I hope I go there again next year.”
