Playing Akshara Got Me A Lot Of Marriage Proposals: Hina Khan

Hina Khan became a household name with her portrayal as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai over seven years ago. The actress has been since then remembered as Akshara by her fans. Hina is now setting standards high with her performance in Khatron Ke Khiladi 8.

Talking to Midday, she revealed that her character in YRKKH, got her a lot of marriage proposals. She said, “I’ve got far too many marriage proposals, but not from me. They’ve all been from their mothers, who want a bahu like Akshara. I will marry when I’m ready. I still have a few years before that”. On choosing KKK8, the actress said that she was bored of the monotony of the fictional show and wanted to try something else.

She added, “Doing Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai had become monotonous for me. That’s why I decided to quit the show. I wanted a drastic shift in my career and KKK proved dramatically different”. The show, which went on air this week on Colors, is left with three contestants, Ravi Dubey, Hina Khan and Shantanu Maheshwari as top three contenders and they will contest in the finals. Let’s see who wins the race.
