No thalapathi title for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's film with Sri Thenandal Films!
Updated : March 20, 2017 04:39 PM ISTAs reported earlier, the makers of Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming film have approached GV Films, producers of superstar Rajinikanth’s Thalapathi, to reuse the title. “It’s true that Sri Thenandal Films has proposed a fancy deal to GV Films but the yesteryear production house politely turned down the offer,” says a source close to the development.
“Now the film’s director Atlee is looking out for other alternate title options,” added the source. Touted to be a stylish action entertainer, Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be seen playing triple roles in the film -- playing dad and two sons, who belong to three different religions.
Nithya Menon plays the romantic interest of dad Vijay, while Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen as the other two female leads. Academy Award-winning AR Rahman is the music composer of this yet-untitled film, who is expected to commence the composing session from April.
Filmmaker turned actor SJ Suryah plays the baddie in the film, which also has veteran actor Sathyaraj in an important role. Currently, the shoot of the film is progressing in Chennai and by next month, the team will be leaving to the UK to can a crucial action sequence.
