Mohammad Nazim on a break after Saath Nibaha Saathiya, is focusing on fitness
Updated : August 28, 2017 02:52 PM ISTActor Mohammad Nazim, who shot to instant fame with his role of Ahem in the recently-concluded TV show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, is enjoying a break from television. And, guess how is he making the most of his time off? By focusing on fitness. “I’ve been working continuously for seven years for my show. It’s time to work on myself now... I’m planning to open a gym and start dance classes. This way, I will aim to make more people aware of how important it is to maintain one’s health,” says the 33-year-old actor.
On the professional front, Nazim is hopeful of shifting from television to films. In talks to star in Punjabi films, he says, “My first choice would be to do an action flick in which I get to do a lot of stunts.”
The actor adds that he’s often told that showbiz is an easy profession, but he doesn’t agree. Nazim, in fact, thinks it’s quite tough to get into this line. “You can have a lot of experience, and even have a theatre background, but when acting onscreen, the technical aspects come into play. Your face has to be camera-friendly. Personally, I had a lot of problem with Hindi diction, since my speech had heavy Punjabi influence. I would invariably end up shooting my scenes again because of that,” he says.
