Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover and Mahima Chaudhary for a Cause 'Mission Save Her'
Updated : April 06, 2016 10:59 AM ISTBollywood celebrities like Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover and Mahima Chaudhary have decided to lend their support to Indian-American pop singer Reggie Benjamin and his NGO, Mission Save Her. The organisation works towards helping rape victims and educating people about human trafficking. It has also tied up with Prajwala Hospitalin Hyderabad, to provide medical aid to the victims, who are subjected to such crimes.
A source says, “The celebrities will educate people about rape and human trafficking in India, and help find a solution to these problems. They will also talk about the medical facilities offered to the victims at the Hyderabad based hospital through this initiative.” A media briefing will also be held later this week as part of the awareness campaign. “Manisha, Gulshan and Mahima have given their nod to be part of the press conference. Not only will they request victims to come forward to seek help, but they will also motivate people to get in touch with the organisation and join the cause,” adds the source.
When contacted Gulshan confirmed the news, saying, “Reggie and his sister (Rena) introduced me to this initiative. This is good work and needs to be encouraged. I want to use my popularity to highlight these issues.”
