Kangana Ranaut accused of slashing TV actor Nikunj Malik’s role in Revolver Rani?
Updated : May 01, 2014 03:10 PM ISTFollowing Queen’s box-office success actress Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for her next, Revolver Rani, which will also mark Bollywood debut for small screen actress Nikunj Malik. Nikunj, a popular face in the television industry, was quite thrilled about her first film so far but now everything is not the same with the 28-year-old lady and Kangana seems to have played the role of a villain in her life.
An irked Nikunj complained, "My role has been butchered," as she thinks that half of her scenes in Revolver Rani have been deleted. When asked whom she thinks to be responsible for the same Nikunj defended the film’s director Sai Kabir as she said, "He isn’t to be blamed. He is helpless as it’s his directorial debut.” When the name of Kangana was mentioned Nikunj alleged, "It could be her. I don’t know for sure as I can only suspect. I have many group scenes with her, but a few solo ones that were planned were never shot." Nikunj also added that she "won’t watch the film or promote it" now.
On the other hand the director said, "Nikunj’s done a good job, but she doesn’t understand film-making. She’s just panicking. Kangana isn’t part of the edit process, and has nothing to do with it. Revolver Rani is an ensemble with 20 actors and everyone’s roles have been justified." Though Kangana refused to comment on the allegations against her but one of her close sources said, "Newcomers have a lot of expectations. They believe they are important. But the length of a role is entirely the director’s vision. If she feels so strongly (about her part), then she shouldn’t do smaller character roles."
