Rani Mukerji Talks About Motherhood And Her Upcoming YRF Project, Hichki
Updated : October 12, 2017 12:25 PM ISTRani Mukerji has delivered some of the blockbuster movies such as Black, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Veer-Zaara, No One Killed Jessica and others. However, the actress has been remiss from the silver screen as she enjoys her motherhood. Rani is married to filmmaker Aditya Chopra and gave birth to a baby girl, Adira, in 2015.
And now the talented actress will be back on silver screen with Yash Raj Film’s Hichki, which is being helmed by Siddharth Malhotra. Recently, in an interview Rani spoke about being a mother, "As they say, 'When you become a mother, your child gives birth to you as a mother'. I am learning every day as a mother and I am sure my daughter will teach me much more about motherhood. Also, it all depends on her."
She added, "Your child should know you as an independent mother and respect you not just for being a mother who looks after them, but also for being independent enough to go out there in the world and work." She further went on saying, "I love being a full-time mother, which I have enjoyed in the last two years. But I think it is time for me to get back to work (smiles)."
Talking about her forthcoming movie Hichki, the Hum Tum actress said, "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up."
