Deepika refuses to comment on Salman's court case
Updated : April 06, 2016 10:59 AM ISTThe entire Bollywood fraternity has shown its support to actor Salman Khan who was sentenced to five years in prison on 6th May for a 2002 hit and run case. With the likes of actors Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee visiting the actor at his Bandra residence, and a lot of other celebrities such as Arjun Kapoor, Dia Mirza tweeting about the verdict, B town’s beauty Deepika Padukone has decided to keep mum on the whole issue.
In a recent promotional event for her movie ‘Piku’, Deepika when asked about Salman said “The verdict is sub judice so I wouldn't want to comment on it. However, if I have to tell something to Salman, I will tell him personally."
It is also rumored that Deepika will soon work with Salman in Ali Abbas Zafar’s next movie ‘Sultan’. This leading lady of Bollywood has already done three movies with actor Shahrukh Khan and has always been keen to work with Salman. Salman who has been busy shooting for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’ could not start filming for this movie with Deepika.
Salman today has been asked by the Mumbai High Court to file a fresh bail bond. The actor won’t go to jail as of now.
