Anurag Kashyap Talks About Raman Raghav 2.0
Updated : May 11, 2016 11:58 AM IST Dev. D director Anurag Kashyap recently took his upcoming film ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ to the censor board and received a surprising reaction. The director has experienced various issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with films like ‘Ugly’ and ‘Paanch’ but this time, the censor board seemed to have liked his film. ‘Raman Raghar 2.0’ stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal.
Anurag spoke at the trailer launch of his film and shared, “Censor Board has been in a way kindest to this film. They actually liked it. For me, there are many things in the film I want them to stay intact. I would not be satisfied with a single cut. To avoid any kind of cuts whatever it will take, we will do”.
The director also revealed some details about the film and stated that it is not based on a real life character but is inspired by one. “This is not based on a real life character. It is inspired from a character who was in the 1960s, this film is based in today’s times. It’s difficult to make a film inspired by a real life character because you are treading a very dangerous line. You have your own sense of responsibility”, said Anurag. The trailer for ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ is just out and the movie is scheduled to hit the screens on June 24.
