Ankita Lokhande being roped in for Ekta Kapoor's new show titled Mangalsutra created a buzz on the internet and intrigued fans. But it seems like it was fake because Ankita Lokhande has put all the rumours to rest and has confirmed that she is not a part of the show. Has this news disheartened the fans who were impatiently waiting for her comeback to the small screen?

A source close to the actress revealed that the actress slammed the rumours and said, "It's absolutely fake. Not true at all. I don't know from where have these rumours come from. There's no truth to it at all." When she was asked about her forthcoming projects, she laughingly said, "You will come to know about it soon!"

The actress, who was last seen on Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta, carved a niche for herself at a small scale level with character portrayal of Archana. In those days, her chemistry with Sushant Singh Rajput aka Manav became a topic of discussion. A few months back, reports churned out of the rumour mill that she had been roped in by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his upcoming magnum opus Padmavati. Well, fans were on cloud until they realized that it was bogus. Looks like, fans will have to wait some more time to see the legend back in action.
