Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ has been making headlines ever since it was first announced. The poster of the movie was shared all across the social media immediately after it first came out. The latest we hear about the flick is about its release date.

Recently, the makers announced that the film is scheduled to be released on June 2. The movie is being helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, who will make his directorial debut with the film. The flick is being presented by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and produced by Cape of Good Films, Friday Filmworks and Abundantia Entertainment.

‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ is based on PM Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign. The movie is touted to be packed with satires and comic elements. The movie stars the Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead.
