'Yeh kya bakwas hain' : Netizen aren't thrilled about Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri starring in Dhadak 2

The 2018 movie Dhadak marked Janhvi Kapoor’s entry into Bollywood and had her star alongside Ishaan Khatter. The film was an average hit at the box office. However, it has been announced today that a sequel to the movie titled Dhadak 2 will soon go on floors with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri as the leads.

This has left many netizens displeased as they claimed that even the first part of the movie was not that successful and was itself a remake of the blockbuster 2016 film Sairat. On the other hand, some netizens also trolled Siddhant Chaturvedi for getting movies despite some of his previous films tanking at the box office. While on the other hand, some users felt that Tripti Dimri’s talent will go wasted with this movie.

According to a news report in Pinkvilla, a source close to the development revealed to the portal, “Dhadak was essentially an intense tale of love, with two protagonists fighting the society to live together. The filmmaker believes that this zone of going against all odds for love has the potential to get a franchise value. After contemplating several subjects, the filmmaker has greenlit a subject that qualifies to be a sequel to Dhadak.”

No sooner did the news go viral than netizens started trolling the announcement brutally. One of the users said, “YE KYA BAKWAS HAI” while another netizen stated, “Bhai karan johar ko franchise ke sadme se baahar nikalo.” Another netizen went on to say, “Disaster before anything only.” A user took a dig at Siddhant Chaturvedi saying, “Why does this guy get films.” While another netizen said, “tripti dimri's talent being disrespected by giving her such projects baffles me.”
