With Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan arriving on Republic Day 2023, what will happen to Tehran and Fighter?
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan finally announces arrival on Republic Day 2023, but does this mean Fighter and Tehran will get new release dates?
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has finally announced its arrival in cinemas with its first ever promo which was released today. The announcement has stirred quite a lot of excitement as it marked Republic Day 2023 for its arrival. The January holiday had quite a few contenders already including John Abraham starrer Tehran which was recently announced and director Siddharth Anand’s Fighter which had already blocked the holiday first.
While John stars in Pathaan as well, Siddharth Anand helms both Fighter and Pathaan which makes it seem the clash of these three films highly unlikely. Fighter also stars Deepika Padukone , the leading lady of Pathaan. Both Fighter and Tehran are still to go on floors while Pathaan is in its last schedule of production.
Fighter is scheduled to go on floors soon after Shah Rukh, Deepika and John are through with the last leg of Pathaan which is to be shot in Spain this month. The aerial-action film starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will go on floors in June if reports are anything to go by. It is likely that the film will pick a new release date on the 2023 calendar though the makers are yet to make the announcement.
Tehran which was announced recently by John Abraham is also to go on floors this year. The actioner might also have to reconsider clashing with Pathaan on Republic Day 2023.
Pathaan will mark the return of Shah Rukh Khan on the silver screen after a gap of four years and has been in the making for nearly two years now. The project is highly anticipated and one of the biggest in Yash Raj Films ’ arsenal.
Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Luv Ranjan film which was also scheduled to arrive on the same holiday has already picked a new release date and will now release on Holi 2023 that is 8 March 2023.
