Kamal Haasan starrer Chachi 420 is one comedy crapper from the 90’s that we can never get over. One of the act actor’s best films in Bollywood, the film has completed 24 years since it was originally released. The film also marked Fatima Sana Shaikh’s onscreen debut as a five-year-old as she played Bharti, Kamal and Tabu ’s daughter.

Now a well-known face in Bollywood, Fatima has often in interviews spoken about her time on sets of Chachi 420 where she was thoroughly pampered and given a lot of attention as a kid. The actress did however have one traumatic memory of shooting the 1997 film, where there was fire and swimming involved and she wasn’t comfortable with both.

In a chat show which aired on Zee Café, the Dangal actress looked back at Chachi 420 and said, “I just remember having a great time on set, all the attention was on me, and I was showered with love and chocolates. But I do have one really traumatic memory from the film: there’s a scene in which I get burnt and thrown into a pool — and they used real fire! To top it off, I couldn’t swim also. There was so much drama that they eventually used CGI for the scene; I only remember my mom yelling and me crying madly.”

After the film Fatima did discover her love for acting and eventually grew up to pursue the profession full time. She made her debut as leading actress in Dangal with Aamir Khan and has since starred in a number of films.
