Welcome 3: Will Akshay Kumar join Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar aka Majnu-Uday this time?

Back in June this year, producer Firoz Nadiadwala confirmed that Akshay Kumar along with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be returning to the silver screen soon as their beloved characters Raju, Shyam and Babu Bhaiya in the much anticipated Hera Pheri 3. Ever since then, fans have eagerly been waiting for more news about the third part of the cult classic film. Much to our delight, latest buzz has revealed that the movie is expected to go on floors sometime next year!

In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source was quoted saying, “Firoz Nadiadwala is in conversation with producer Anand Pandit for Hera Pheri 3. The two have been discussing all the possible permutations and combinations to bring the 3 idiots – Raju, Shyam and Baburao – back together, however, the things are not there on the paper yet. Probably in next month or so, everything by god's grace will be clear.” Nadiadwala has apparently decided to pay off his debts and will soon begin work on Hera Pheri 3. Well, the report further reveals that Hera Pheri is not the only film getting a third installment.

Firoz is currently searching for a director to take his hit series Welcome forward. In the original film Akshay was seen in the lead whereas the sequel titled Welcome Back was headlined by John Abraham. However, the characters who have been a constant and received the most love for their performances were Majnu and Uday, played by Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar . While Majnu and Uday will definitely be back in Welcome 3 , we are still waiting for more clarity about the rest of the cast. Will Akshay return as Rajiv?
