War 2: After Tiger Shroff, superstar NTR Jr. to have a showdown with Hrithik Roshan? Here’s what we know

Four years ago Yash Raj Films gave us a blockbuster hit in the form of War, which was the third installment in their exciting spy universe. Filmmaker Siddharth Anand created a cinematic experience to remember whereas Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan and handsome hunk Tiger Shroff left us drooling over their action sequences and on-screen chemistry. Lead actress Vaani Kapoor was like the perfect cherry on top as she flaunted her killer dance moves and versatile acting skills. Well, buzz now suggests that the wait for the sequel of this masterpiece will soon be over.

According to the latest report shared by Pinkvilla, the makers have roped in South superstar NTR Jr. to be the parallel lead in War 2. He will apparently have an epic showdown with Hrithik in the action entertainer! A source was quoted saying, “Yes, it’s absolutely correct information. NTR Jr. is locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in War 2 and it’s going to be an epic action adventure. Their battle of wits and the fierce showdown will be an action spectacle worth experiencing on the big screen. War 2 is now a true-blue Pan India film with top superstars from the Northern and Southern industry.”

The source further added, “The Southern market should come alive and connect at an even bigger level due to the presence of their beloved young tiger – NTR Jr.” We will definitely miss Tiger Shroff in the sequel. But we are stoked to hear that Hrithik and NTR Jr will be locking horns in War 2! Another exciting update about the film is that it will reportedly be helmed by filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. Just yesterday, when he announced the back to back release of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra Part 2: Dev and Brahmastra Part 3, the director had hinted at a new project.
