VS 13: Vishwak Sen is set to don a cop avatar for his next | Announcement poster out

Telugu actor Vishwak Sen has been on a signing spree. The actor, known for his role in Gaami, is now gearing up to play a cop in his next project. The makers of his upcoming film, tentatively titled VS 13, have announced the new collaboration. Although the title and first look have not yet been revealed, the announcement poster showcases Vishwak Sen as an IPS officer tasked with controlling a riot. 

The announcement post read “In a bent system, he refused to break. MASS KA DAS #VishwakSen marches to straighten the path. @slv_cinemas Production No.8 is #VS13 - a High Voltage Action Drama. Written and directed by @sreedharganta83 and produced by #SudhakarCherukuri. Cinematography by @innamuri8888. Stay tuned for more updates.” 

The first poster hints at a high-voltage action drama. The film is written and directed by Sreedhar Ganta, with Sudhakar Cherukuri as the producer who had earlier backed Nani’s Dasara. Kishor Kumar is the cinematographer for the project. Other details about the film are yet to be disclosed. 

Vishwak Sen’s upcoming films

On the other hand, Vishwak Sen will next be seen in the action-comedy Mechanic Rocky, which stars Shraddha Srinath and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Director Ravi Teja Mullapudi, making his debut as a writer and director, previously worked as an assistant director in Tollywood. The cast also includes Naresh, Viva Harsha, Harshavardhan, and Roadies-fame Raghu Ram in significant roles. The film is scheduled for a grand release on October 31, 2024. 

Additionally, Vishwak had earlier announced another intriguing project titled Laila, set for release on February 14, 2025. Directed by Ram Narayan of Battala Ramaswamy Biopikku fame, Laila will feature Vishwak Sen in a unique role as a woman. The first-look poster for the film has already been released, and more details will be revealed soon. 

Having faced a setback with the failure of Gangs of Godavari, Vishwak Sen is pinning his hopes on these upcoming films for a career revival. Will these projects give him the breakthrough he is aiming for? We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out!
