Vidaamuyarchi: Arjun Sarja sports a chic look in Ajith-starrer | Check out new poster

Ahead of the massive Diwali release, the makers of Ajith’s long-awaited project Vidaamuyarchi have been dropping several exciting updates about the film. In the latest development, they have teased audiences with a surprise poster featuring actor Arjun Sarja. 

The new poster shows the Kollywood star in a chic look, sporting a brown leather jacket and black pants. He is also seen with a long hairdo, completing his look with a pair of shades. The poster also features a silhouette of Ajith in the background. This new look has left fans excited to see their favorite 90s hero in a new avatar. While fans suspect that Arjun might be playing the antagonist in the film, the makers have kept the details of his character under wraps. Check out the new poster here!

Ajith and Arjun Sarja’s reunion

Vidaamuyarchi notably marks the reunion of Thala Ajith and Arjun Sarja after a hiatus of 13 years. The actors, who have enjoyed a strong Tamil fandom over the years, last shared screen space in the 2011 blockbuster Mankatha. Therefore, this reunion is an extra special treat for fans who have been eagerly awaiting the two big stars of the South to come together once more. 

Vidaamuyarchi to be an October release?

Although the makers have yet to wrap up shooting and begin post-production work for the Ajith-starrer, reports suggest that they are aiming for a release date of either October 10 or October 31, 2024. However, fans may have to wait a little longer for an official confirmation from the production house, Lyca Productions, who are bankrolling the project.

All about Vidaamuyarchi

Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the upcoming Ajith-starrer is a road adventure thriller and an official remake of the 1997 cult classic Hollywood film Breakdown. According to a recent interview given by Ajith’s manager, Suresh Chandra, Thala Ajith is set to play the role of a doting husband who goes on a mission to save his wife, who is allegedly kidnapped during their road trip in Azerbaijan. Besides the lead cast, the film also features Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs and original score for the movie, while Nirav Shah is the cinematographer. The movie’s OTT rights have been acquired by Netflix.
