Thala Ajith has wrapped up the last schedule of Vidaamuyarchi in Azerbaijan. The team also shared a photo of the cast and crew posing with Ajith and director Magizh Thirumeni.

After a long wait, fans can finally rejoice as Thala Ajith and Vidaamuyarchi’s team have finally wrapped up their entire schedule in Azerbaijan. The makers of the film took to their social media handles to share the exciting update, writing, “SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 'VIDAAMUYARCHI' schedule in the endless terrains of AZERBAIJAN, BAKU!” The team also shared a photo of the entire cast and crew of Vidaamuyarchi posing with Ajith and director Magizh Thirumeni at the shooting set. According to the latest sources, the film is likely to release in theatres during Diwali.

The team of Vidaamuyarchi has been shooting for the film in the terrains of Azerbaijan since last October, with extensive shooting in the capital city of Baku. The makers are expected to drop new release updates very soon.

Recently, the makers have been teasing fans with several poster updates. From the dashing first and second look posters of Thala Ajith to a tender and romantic poster of Ajith and Trisha in a still from the film, Vidaamuyarchi’s latest posters might indicate that the makers are planning for an early release. Although speculations are rife, sources reveal that the makers might aim for a Diwali 2024 release.

As reported earlier, Ajith's road adventure thriller is an official remake of the 1997 cult classic Hollywood film Breakdown. The 1997 action thriller revolves around a couple who find themselves in trouble when their car breaks down in a deserted region and the wife disappears. The film then narrates the husband's frantic search for his missing wife amidst a chain of crimes. According to the actor’s manager Suresh Chandra, Thala Ajith is set to essay the role of a doting husband who goes on a mission to save his wife, who is allegedly kidnapped during their road trip in Azerbaijan.

Besides the lead cast, the film also features Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs and original score for the movie, while Nirav Shah is the cinematographer. The movie’s OTT rights have been acquired by Netflix.
