Lyca Productions on Thursday unveiled an unseen photo from its upcoming movie, Vettaiyan, which stars an ensemble comprising some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry. The photo was released to commemorate the 42nd birthday of Fahadh Faasil.

In the unseen behind-the-scenes photo, Fahadh Faasil is seen flanked by two of the biggest icons of Indian cinema: Amitabh Bachchan and Superstar Rajinikanth. Fahadh is visibly overjoyed to be sharing space with the two legendary stars.

Earlier, the producers also revealed Fahadh's character look from the movie. He seems to be playing the role of an urban simpleton. Based on the poster, he appears to be a happy-go-lucky guy who likely ends up in a high-stakes situation. According to reports, Fahadh has plenty of scenes with Rajinikanth, providing light-hearted moments in the movie.

Vettaiyan was written and directed by TJ Gnanavel and boasts a star-studded supporting cast. One of the highlights of the movie is the onscreen reunion of Amitabh and Rajinikanth after more than three decades; the last movie the duo acted together in was Hum, which came out in 1991.

Vettaiyan also stars Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan, among others. Manju is said to be playing the role of Rajinikanth's wife in the movie.

All the actors in Vettaiyan are thrilled about sharing screen space with Rajinikanth. The unanimous opinion is that this film won't be a run-of-the-mill Rajinikanth starrer. "Vettaiyan is not your usual Rajinikanth film. It amazed me that he was doing a film like this. I don’t know if I should reveal it, but Vettaiyan is all about the judiciary, police, and entrepreneurial systems; it’s a different and well-researched take," Rana Daggubati said earlier in an interview.

Vettaiyan is due to hit the screens in October.
