Vettaiyan Trailer OUT: Watch Rajinikanth fight against injustice in Thalaivar style!

Keep everything aside, as Vettaiyan aka Thalaivar Rajinikanth has arrived! The makers of the Tamil superstar’s most awaited film Vettaiyan have finally dropped the exciting trailer. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the star-studded film is billed as a cop drama and is set to hit the big screens worldwide on October 10, 2024, this Dussehra season!

Taking to social media, the makers wrote, “Hunter Vantaar choodu da! VETTAIYAN Trailer is OUT NOW. The hunt begins!”

The new glimpse shows a group of people fighting against the arrest of a criminal who brutally assaulted and murdered a woman. The people demand the criminal’s execution, and that’s when Rajinikanth’s role as an encounter specialist comes into the picture. His character fights for justice by eliminating those who do not abide by law and order. Portraying a stylish and dashing encounter specialist, Rajinikanth is on a mission to take down the evil forces of society. The trailer also showcases Amitabh Bachchan as a government official, while Rana Daggubati plays a cunning business tycoon. Fahadh Faasil, who appears to have a fun yet significant role, seems to be a genius aide to Rajinikanth’s character. Dushara Vijayan, playing what appears to be a school teacher, captures the audience with her stunning screen presence once again. The two-minute-long video is an action fest, with the face-off between Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth promising a thrilling ride for audiences!

Anirudh Ravichander talks about Vettaiyan

Composer Anirudh Ravichander earlier shared that when director Gnanavel presented the story to him, he believed casting Rajinikanth in such a film would add a unique charm. He also noted that the film resonates with modern audiences who prefer content-driven films and expressed his confidence that Vettaiyan would leave a lasting impression. “All of us now prefer films that are strong in content, right? I believe Vettaiyan will create a huge impact as a film,” the renowned composer-singer remarked.

Vettaiyan censor and runtime

The film recently completed its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate, with a runtime of 2 hours and 43 minutes. As per the censor certificate circulating online, the movie required only minor edits, such as small replacements and muting, without any major alterations. With these formalities now wrapped up, fans are excited to soon experience the highly anticipated commercial drama.
