Vettaiyan: Ritika Singh reveals she would love to play Fahadh Faasil’s character if given a chance in the Rajinikanth-starrer; here's why

Superstar Rajinikanth and filmmaker TJ Gnanavel’s upcoming cop drama, Vettaiyan, is just around the corner for its grand release on October 10, 2023. Ahead of its anticipated release, actress Ritika Singh has opened up about her favorite scenes and characters from the film.

Ritika Singh talks about Vettaiyan

When asked about her first day of shooting with Rajinikanth, the actress responded that she was ‘blank’ and had nothing going on in her mind when ‘Rajini sir’ was in front of her. She said, “I was blank that day. On the day of the shoot, I didn’t have any dialogues, only reactions, but even that was difficult because I was in Rajini sir’s presence, and it was a legendary moment.”

When asked about another role in the film she would like to play if given a chance, the actress instantly replied in a promotional video that she would choose Fahadh Faasil’s character, Patrick. She explained that the quirkiness of the character struck her and made her curious to know how she would have approached it. “Fafa sir’s character is quirky and fresh, something new, and I would like to see how I would do it,” she said.

Speaking of the most challenging scene she had to perform in the film, she mentioned a particular sequence where she was standing alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth.

Ritika Singh plays Roopa in Vettaiyan

Meanwhile, the actress is set to portray the role of Roopa in the cop drama. While much information about her character has not been revealed, she is seen to be playing a cop in the film. Earlier, when the makers revealed a picture of actress Rithika Singh at the dubbing session for the film, eagle-eyed fans spotted details about her character. According to the leaked photograph, the actress plays Roopa, who tries to find evidence for an accusation. The script also shows another character named Guna, although it is unclear who is playing that role.
